Blog

spring 2012

I have been very busy printing and mounting prints for my exhibition next month. It has been extremly time consuming, but I do find it very satisfying to see the image taken from the hard drive and presented as a finished work.

I will be showing and selling a variety of prints at Fingringhoe Wick nature reserve, part of the Essex Wildlife Trust. The exhibition will be up from 2-5 June. Check out my events page for details.

So far it has been a very wet spring, so I haven't been out as much as I would like, but I have recently been out and about taking macro photos of smaller wild flowers and getting pretty soggy and muddy in the process. These will be added to the site once they have been processed. I have also added some dragonfly studies from late last season.

In the near future I will be welcoming the dragonfly season once again and in my search for them I will be discovering many more subjects including butterflies.

new year - new site

Welcome to the new site. It has been a very busy time for me recently, but I have been able to find time to build a new site with a fresh new look.

I will be busy this year getting out and about more as I take my photography into a more focussed direction. I have set myself some specific missions for the year ahead as the seasons progress, from the tiny world of macro to some larger animals.

2012 will see me exhibiting from the summer and I will have pictures for sale in many forms; from post cards to framed pictures ready for hanging. Events will be announced nearer the time.

I have very recently been successful in gaining my Licentienship of the Royal Photographic Society distinction (LRPS), which has got 2012 off to an absolutely flying start.
